Winery Wednesday Series: Abacela

Come celebrate Winery Wednesday with us as we feature Abacela! Wine representative Paula Caudill will take you through a tasting of their wines and share what makes Abacela standout in the Oregon wine industry.

Abacela's philosophy is simple: Winemaking begins in the vineyard and the highest quality of a traditional style varietal wine is limited by the quality of the fruit when it leaves the vine. The vintner's task is to study grapes and wine to achieve the potential instilled by Mother Nature. Abacela's foremost goal is to preserve the fruit's character and quality all the way into the bottle.

Winery Wednesday is an exclusive event series where we spotlight a different winery. Discover new flavors, meet the winery representative, and learn about the stories behind the bottles. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or a casual sipper, Winery Wednesday is the perfect opportunity to try newly discovered wines, before making the trip to wine country. Cheers to a new wine experience every week!

Winery Wednesday Series: St. Innocent Winery

Come celebrate Winery Wednesday with us as we feature St. Innocent Winery! Associate Wine Maker, Alana Fontaine, will take you through a tasting of their wines and share what makes St. Innocent standout in the Oregon wine industry.

St. Innocent was built to help them make wine more naturally, using minimal technology. They fill the fermenters and bottle by gravity flow. The barrels rest in an underground room with naturally controlled temperature and humidity. The barrels are never moved during their aging, nor is any machinery allowed in the barrel cellar; all work is done by hand. They believe that simplicity in this process allows the wine’s personality to be fully expressed.
